Doosra Nivala

We are very happy to partner with a start up called Doosra Nivala which is providing food to the impoverished section of society by collecting the left over food from our dining hall. Kudos to the young entrepreneur Samyukta who has taken this altruistic initiative at just 19 years of age.

Following is her write up on MGD-
" Doosra Nivala in its bid to bridge the gap between surplus food and the hungry, reports another successful collaboration.
We are happy to announce that Maharani Gayatri Devi School, one of the oldest and most reputed all girls' schools in Rajasthan, has opened its largesse of food to the hungry. The provided food is wholesome, nutritious and absolutely fresh. It feeds almost 40 people on average everyday.
I wish to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the principal, MGD, Mrs. Archana S Mankotia and her decisiveness in agreeing to the proposal. I also want to thank the kind hearted mess managers- Sub Clk S. Pandey and Sub. Laxman Ram along with the enthusiastic dining staff and the vigilant security guards who help us in a hassle free food pick up. Many thanks to Col Surender Singh Sanghwan for helping us put this plan into action. Not to forget, Manoj bhaiyya in whom we have found a disciplined volunteer who keeps this effort going.
The school reaffirms the vision of its founding member, Maharani Gayatri Devi "... When they enter the world they should be able to take an active interest in the betterment of their homes and community ..." by instilling in its students the importance of contributing to the society by not only making generous food donations but also by participating actively in community service.
We want to acknowledge and thank everyone involved in making this process possible. Not only does their participation inspire students of their school but also highlights the role bigger institutions can and should play in the upliftment of society.
