MGD Celebrated 75th School Birthday on 10/08/2018

Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School celebrated its 75th Birthday on 10th August 2018. This momentous event was attended by President MGD-Rani Vidya Devi Ji, President MGD Guild- Mrs Jane Himmat Singh, members of the guild and board of governers and distinguished guests.

The Chief Guest for the event was Mrs. Tejinder Kaur, an alumnus of MGD Schooland an IAS officer from 1973 batch. In her speech Mrs Kaur recalled memories of her time at MGD and told the students how education plays an important role in upliftment of women and that we should look beyond ourselves and give back to society. Mrs Tejinder Kaur also felicitated the meritorious students from 2017-18 batch. 

Principal Archana S Mankotia also wished everyone on this joyous occasion and read out the birthday greetings sent by old students and staff members.

Rani Vidya Devi congratulated the school on completing 75 glorious years and paid a tribute to the founder of MGD late Rajmata Sahiba Gayatri Devi.

The event comprised of inter house Dramatics competition where the students showcased the life of Rajmata Gayatri Devi Ji of Jaipur.

The event ended with the prize distribution ceremony. Madam Curie and Florence Nightingale house stood 1st while Helen Keller house won 2nd prize.

Pranjal Khandelwal was adjudged as the best Actor. The event ended on a celebratory note.
