19th Dr Amidas Goradia Online Inter-School English Debate

Host School: The Indian School, New Delhi

The preliminary rounds were conducted on 27th August 2020. MGD was represented by the students of Class XII, Khushi Baheti, Muskan Singh and Reya Malu. The competition with its vast spectrum of topics gave the participants a stage to debate on political, economic and social concerns of the society. With 28 schools participating from various parts of the country, varying views became a source of knowledge. The three rounds of the competition had different debate formats. The moderator Mr Parnab Mukherjee enlightened the participants about ways to improve their debating skills by using extracts and time period. The results of the preliminary rounds were declared on 28th August 2020. Reya Malu was declared the First Best Speaker in the Bridge Round. The event was well organised and utilized the virtual platform in the best way possible. It provided the participants with an opportunity to voice their opinions within the confines of their homes.
