Supernova-Astronomy Club of Maharani Gaytri Devi Girls’ School in association with Tinkerly organised a webinar on 20th June ,2020 at 2 pm.The topic of the webinar was “How to watch Solar Eclipse” . The guest speaker was Dr. Vivek Monteiro , Homi Bhabha Award Winner, Member of All India People’s Science Network and Principal advisor to Navnirmiti Society. 246 students got registered for the webinar.The webinar focused on how the solar eclipse occurs and the various types of solar eclipses. The eclipse on 21st June will be a partial eclipse in India. Dr. Vivek also explained the process to make solar filters , magic mirror and use pin hole images to watch the eclipse. He solved the queries of the students regarding the myths on Solar Eclipses.The session was very informative and enlightening for young minds.It was a live session on the facebook page of Tinkerly.
