The educational trip to Manali for class IX from 25 th March- 1 st April was an enriching
experience that combined learning with adventure. Located in the Kullu Valley of Himachal
Pradesh, Manali is renowned for its scenic beauty, pleasant climate, and diverse cultural heritage.
The trip aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the region's geography,
history, and environmental conservation. The adventure began with visit to Sisu village in Lahaul
valley through Atal Tunnel where students took part in snow skiing and zip lining. River rafting
in Beas river was also enjoyed by all. Other highlights of the trip included treks to Anjani
Mahadev temple in Solang Valley, Hadimba Devi temple, Vashisht Kund and Buddhist
Monastery. Trip also included exploration of Manali’s local markets where students witnessed
and purchased the local artisanal works like hand knitted woollen wear, natural hemp bags etc.
Last day of the trip was spent in Chandigarh visiting Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden and Rock
garden.
The trip to Manali was not only an educational journey but also provided an opportunity to
bond with peers and experience the natural beauty of the Himalayas. It successfully met its
objectives, providing valuable lessons that will stay with all participants for a lifetime. In
conclusion, the educational trip to Manali was a perfect blend of learning, adventure, and cultural
exploration. The experiences gained will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the minds and
hearts.
