The Boarding Mun held on October 25, 2024, was a remarkable initiative that successfully engaged students in the complexities of global diplomacy.

Through comprehensive training sessions, participants gained invaluable insights into the workings of the United Nations and the intricacies of Model United Nations proceedings. The experience e not only enhanced their critical thinking and negotiation skills but also broadened their understanding of pressing global issues. The event fostered a spirit of collaboration and open dialogue, encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones and actively participate in discussions.

There were two committees namely UNSC (United Nation of Security Council) and AIPPM (All India Political Party Meet). Their committee proceedings took place on 25th October in room no. 38 and 39 in the main building respectively.

The committee United Nations Security Council was a very productive one with the agenda of the ongoing Israel Palestine conflict. From speeches about peace to declaring war in the crisis, the delegates were extremely participative despite their hesitation. Each and every delegate learned something and all in all, the committee was a success.

In the committee AIPPM (All India Political Party Meet) the agenda for the same was Caste and economic reservation- Overall development of the country. The committee started with the roll call and then shifted to introductory speeches in which the Executive Board made the Gsl’s compulsory so to give chance to everyone and at the same point pulling them out of their tender shells. Then we moved forward to crisis which is a hypothetical situation in which delegates are forced to use their critical and spontaneous thinking skills, the first information of the crisis was that the Poona Pact of SC’S and ST’S has been pulled off due to which the president of India have resigned that is Shreemati Draupadi Murmu and the prime minister of India shri Narendra Modi is in deep distress as his party is being accused of several controversies. The second information to the crisis was that by a secret UN agent Modi ji have been declared guilty for the same and the last additional information to the crisis was that Lok Sabha elections have been going on and due to these controversies BJP lost its support and hance lost the elections giving an uprise to Congress and Rahul Gandhi finally becomes the Prime Minister of India and by some unauthorised person Amit shah have been shot and is severely injured. With this last addition and speeches that was flowed by it the committee was adjourned and was successful to give and experience and an exposure to the first timers.

Overall, the Boarding Mun proved to be a significant stepping stone for young minds, equipping them with the tools to navigate and contribute to an increasingly interconnected world.
