MGD Girls’ School organized the event Abhivaykti, a lively display of talent by the students of Classes VI and VII, on 19 October 2024, for the Prep Section in the MSKK wing. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Archana S. Mankotia, Principal of MGD Girls' School, and the Guest of Honor, Colonel SS Sangwan, were warmly welcomed before the event commenced. Following a traditional welcome, the guests were given a tour of the student-made art exhibits, which featured creative crafts such as motif paintings and car hangings made from plastic bottles.
The event focused on showcasing the skill-based activities held during the WINGS session under the Day Boarding Curriculum. Dhriti Singh of Class 7C and Aliya Mahajan of Class 6E hosted the event, guiding the audience through the various segments. They introduced the audience to the WINGS initiative, which stands for World Around Us, Innovation, Nurturing Diverse Skills, Grooming and Personality Development, and Sports & Adventure. The aim of this program is to provide holistic development beyond the traditional curriculum.
The WINGS activities included Voice Kraft, Nukkad Natak, creative art projects, and sessions on AI, financial literacy, aerodynamics, and hydro-rocketry, among others. Students from Classes VI and VII also delivered captivating performances, including a choir singing "We Are the World," Indian and Western instrumental music performances, and traditional Garba and Dandiya dances.
Overall, Abhivaykti left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance and served as a testament to the innovation, collaboration, and holistic development fostered by the WINGS initiative. The event concluded with heartfelt speeches from the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor, a sincere vote of thanks, and the singing of the school song.
