Six students from MGD Girls' School, Jaipur attended the IPSC Students' Conclave '24 held at the Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya from 7th-9th October 2024.

Mrs Sunetra Chaudhary, the Political Editor of Hindustan Times graced the Opening Ceremony as the Chief Guest along with Mr Anup Gupta, Managing Editor, Hindustan Times as the Special Guest for the day. Her keynote address emphasised on the importance of School Publications and the various ways through which they can be enhanced. Based on the Keynote Address, participants were asked to create a Graffiti artwork reflecting their learnings from the speech and the vision they had for their newsletter.

Mr Anup highlighted the art of Visual storytelling and practical exercises to create visually appealing pages in newsletters and magazines. He also briefed students about multiple photography techniques which helped them during their Heritage Visit to the Gwalior Fort.

The participating teams also presented PPTs about the Best Practices in School Publications and social media followed in the respective schools. Furthermore, a workshop on Understanding social media and the new emerging trend of Podcasts was also conducted by Mr Ankit Naithani. Students also witnessed the Inter House choreography competition at SKV and were a part of various fun learning and interactive activities that boosted their confidence and introduced them to new people. On the last day of the workshop students created a day wise E newsletter documenting the happenings of the three-day event. During the closing ceremony, each school presented their E- Newsletter along with the video presentation. This event instilled in students a deep sense of camaraderie and team spirit and taught them the nuances of making an E newsletter more appealing.
