An impactful session on *Nurturing Compassion and Care for Animals was* organized at MGD Girls' School on October 5, 2024 for grade 7th. The session aimed at instilling empathy and responsibility towards animals in students.

The resource persons for the same were Mr. Inder Sandhu and Ms. Santana Khurrana.

The session emphasized the need for kindness, understanding, and respect for animals as fellow beings. The guest highlighted the widespread issue of animal cruelty in India, shedding light on various forms of neglect and abuse that animals face, including street animals and those in captivity.

Through real-life examples and impactful stories, the students were made aware of the legal and ethical responsibilities of humans to protect animals. The session aimed to foster empathy among students and inspire them to advocate for animal welfare, ensuring a more compassionate and humane society.

The session also focused on understanding canine communication through body language, teaching students how to approach and interact with dogs safely. It emphasized dog bite prevention by recognizing warning signs and respecting a dog's space. Rabies awareness was also highlighted, promoting responsible pet ownership and the importance of vaccination.

The highlight of the session was the introduction of the students to an adorable black puppy available for adoption, giving them an opportunity to interact with the puppy.

This experience not only broadened the students' understanding of humane values but also enhanced their sense of responsibility toward animals.
