The State Forestry Competition at Nahargarh Biodiversity Reserve

Day 1

A group of 30 students visited the Nahargarh Biodiversity Park along with their geography teacher Dr. Rashmi Pareek and Warden Ms. Bhavna for a competition organised by the State Forestry Departmet focusing on the importance of conserving forests and wildlife.

The event saw an enthusiastic participation of the students from both the categories,

Classes I - V and VI - VIII respectively, as they competed in the following activities :

Chitrakala - VI-VIII

Chitra Pehchaan

(Animal's Photo Identification) - I-V

Laghunatak (skit) - I-V

The students of VI-VIII made a mosaic of art with brush and pencil strokes. Laghunatak (skit) became the highlight of the day as the little pupils presented their acts spontaneously and were equally lauded for the same. Day 1 at Nahargarh Biodiversity park was well-managed and executed smoothly.

Day -2

The theme was "HUMAN WILDLIFE COEXISTENCE".

The event saw an enthusiastic participation of the students in the two categories, classes VI to VIII and IX to XII.

1) Bhashan ( Speech competition)

a) VI-VIII ( Hindi, English)

b) IX-XII ( Hindi, English)

2) Rangoli making - VI-VIII

The young orators delivered their speech on the topic "survival through human wildlife co-existence” and suggested techniques that can be adopted for a better and more sustainable future in which both humans and wildlife can exist in complete harmony with each other without social interests or ecological needs being compromised.

The enthusiastic participants of the Rangoli making competition put in their best efforts and made distinct rangolis that coincided with the theme of the event.

After the competition the area was sparkling with the beautiful use of colours and designs made by our champs !

Day 3

A team of 2 students along with their geography teacher Dr. Rashmi Pareek was set out for an Odyssey in the Nahargarh Biodiversity Park for a competition organised by the State Forestry Department. The event revolved around the theme "HUMAN WILDLIFE COEXISTENCE".

The event consisted of various competitions for classes VI-VIII and IX-XII. The event saw an enthusiastic participation of the students as they competed in the following activitiy :

1) Collage making - IX-XII

The vigilant participants of the collage making competition produced some complete works of art that signified the importance of harmony between humans and animals.

Through their creative imagination and distinguished skills they were able to secure the first position in the same.

They also explored the Nahargarh biodiversity park , during which they came accross some quadrupeds like The Bengal Tiger , The Indian jackal and hippopotamus.

Day 3 at Nahargarh Biodiversity park went well-managed and was executed smoothly under the guidance of Dr Rashmi Pareek .

We thank the school and Madam Principal for providing us with this great learning opportunity that helped us to understand the significance of wildlife and bring out our creativity.

Day 4

marked the end of the events, becoming the final day of the State Forestry Competition. The students of Green Warriors club and Quiz Club got together in collaboration with the Disaster management & Sustainable Development Club (DM&SDG). A group of 36 students, escorted by Dr. Rashmi Pareek and Mrs. Jaya Kapil headed out to seek knowledge in the wild and test their general knowledge skills of the wilderness as the students participated in the Wildlife Quiz Competition. The challenging questions of the quiz not only served as a brain stormer but it also ensured effective learning in the wild and connecting with the ‘Knowledge Of The Natural’. Also, the completion of the quiz gave an opportunity to the students to do wildlife-gazing, as they watched and discovered magnificence amidst the wild. We bid a goodbye to the biodiversity park after an amusing & humorous puppet show. The burst of joy, enthusiasm and knowledge between the students was remarkable throughout all the consecutive days of the State Forestry Competition.

Day 5

A group of 24 students representing the Disaster management and sustainable development goals club, Quiz warriors club and Green warriors club along with their geography teacher Dr. Rashmi Pareek were set out for a journey at the Nahargarh Biodiversity Park for a competition organised by the State Forestry Department.

Theme for the wild life week celebration was "Existence through human wildlife co-existence".

The final day of our expedition to Nahargarh Biodiversity Park was a resounding success, culminating in our school achieving first place overall and securing positions in 27 different categories.

The day was filled with educational activities, wildlife sightings of various animals, and an exploration of the park's rich biodiversity.

Overall the entire event was an enriching experience that combined competition with hands-on learning.

Our school's achievement of first place and recognition in 27 categories is a testament to our collective effort and passion for environmental conservation. This experience has inspired the young budding generations of this nation to continue advocating for biodiversity and sustainability in our community.
