The event Talking Digital Suraksha For Teens was organized by 1M1B (One Million One Billion) in partnership with Meta on 30 th August 2024 at Four Points by Sheraton, Jaipur. It was attended by Mrs Neetu Mathur along with Ms Dimple K Gupta and five parents Mr Kapil Kothari, Ms Naina Puri, Ms Geetika Mahajan, Ms Hemavati Rathore and Ms Deepika Goyal. The session commenced with brief introduction by Ms Irene Manning, Head of Content,1M1B Foundation. Meta’s Digital Safety Approach and Tools were detailed by Ms Natasha Jog, Director Public Policy Instagram, India. She enlightened the participants with Digital Nagrik Program, to empower students to become responsible digital citizens; tools like
parental supervision ‘Family Center’, quiet mode. Later in the event, Ms Prianka Rao, Safety Policy Programs Manager, Meta was in conversation with Ms Kamaljeet Yadav, Principal, Subodh Public School, Rambagh, Jaipur, regarding digital safety issues in teens.
Furthermore, parents and educators engaged in table conversations and discussions regarding
Teen Online Safety, empowering informed choices and resources for a safe digital
environment.
The interactive session highlighted the need to strengthen digital safety and emerging tech
skills to keep young users safe and utilize technology meaningfully.
