*Whistling Woods University Workshop - An opportunity to Learn, Create and Be Inspired !!*
The famous filmmaker Satyajit Ray once said, " Cinema's characteristic forte is its ability to capture and communicate the intimacies of the human mind ".
A workshop was conducted by Mr Sagar Melkar from the prestigious Whistling Woods University, Mumbai to delve deeper into the nuances of filmmaking.
Mr Sagar, a specialist in TV and Film Production, is the Founder and Director of 'The Juvenile Media' a boutique production and marketing agency.
Highlights of the Workshop:
*Introduction to Mobile Filmmaking:* discussed how mobiles have revolutionised film making as they are more accessible and portable.
*Scriptwriting Techniques* focused on the importance of a good story line that is essentially three dimensional - with a beginning, middle and an end.
*Filmmaking Grammar* : laid stress on the 5 shot sequence theory of Activity-Who is doing the activity -connection between the doer and the activity - setting (Where) - resolution/ solution and the 180 degree rule to enhance the visual story telling skills.
Mr Sagar also acquainted the students with some movie making tools- both, AI and hardware.
The workshop ended with an interactive session and an engaging activity of making a small movie on the school campus involving the techniques discussed in the workshop.
