Commerce Day Celebration
Commerce Day was celebrated in MGD GIRLS' SCHOOL on 22 August 2024 with great enthusiasm and vigour.
The event started by welcoming the Guest of Honour Mrs Archana S Mankotia, Principal MGD Girls' School and Ms Shubhangi Acharya, Filmaker and alumna - MGD batch of 2015, Administrative officer Col. SS Sangwan sena medal and bar and the coordinators.
The theme of the events was to promote financial literacy among all students and through a variety of activities like rap songs, nukkad natak and pedagames the students of commerce stream captivated the audience of classes 9-10.
Some highlights of the Event:
ART KE SAATH, PAISE KI BAAT: A nukkad natak projecting the right way of investing money, the value of safe deposits and of depositing the money in banks was performed.
RAP SONGS: Rhythmically the songs emphasised the need to be financially safe against the UPI frauds and unauthorised saving schemes.
PEDAGAMES: Paisa khelta hai, a set of 8 games to promote financial literacy were set up for students of grade 6 & 7
The event was a great success and the audience felt the need and the importance of applying the fundamentals of commerce in our daily lives. The Principal appreciated the efforts of all students and congratulated the participants and all involved for an effortless display of talent.
