MGD celebrated its 81st birthday

MGD celebrated its 81st birthday on 14 August 2024 with fervour and zeal. Dr Vinita Patni, an alumna of MGD Girls' School, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The event commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony, paying homage to our beloved founder Rajmata Gayatri Devi followed by reading of Birthday message to the school by Ms Jane Himmeth Singh. The Principal then addressed the gathering, wherein she also read birthday messages from Ex-MGDians wishing the school a glorious future. The birthday cake was cut by the youngest boarders- Anahita and Vijeyta Chauhan along with the dignitaries.
Meritorious students of class 12th of the Batch of 2024 were presented with Roll of Honour and Scholarships to class 10th and 12th boarder and day scholar toppers.
On this momentous occasion students of class 11 from the Department of Fine Arts presented exquisite paintings to the school.
The cultural performances of classical and folk dances celebrated the rich cultural heritage of MGD. The event concluded with the the Chief Guest's speech wherein she was all praises for her Alma Mater and motivated the students to make the utmost use of the opportunities provided at MGD to be their Best. She apprised the students of the cardinal truths of life.
