Deakin University, Career Studio
On 31st of July 2024, the MGD Girls' School hosted a highly anticipated Deakin's Career Studio in collaboration with the Global Reach, providing a combination of six versatile sessions. *The Crafting Creativity*- a workshop on arts and education was conducted by the facilitators Dr. Tonya Meyrick and Dr Richie Barker. This workshop impressively helped the students to clear their concepts of various arts and techniques.
The *Discover Psychology* workshop organised by Dr Ian Fuelscher and Dr Ruth Tanell ,guiding the students about the core of psychology and the various fields it offers.
The *Design You* was a business in law workshop conducted by Ms Cathryn Nolan. This helped the students to mould their intelligence professionally in the fields of business and law.
*Physiology to Sport Performance* was a workshop organised by facilitators Mr Aaron Russell and Dr Lyndell Bruce, definitely endured and strengthened the knowledge of students in sports and exercise.
The *artificial intelligence* workshop conducted by Dr Chandan Karmakar helped the students delve deeply into the sophisticated introduction of AI and its advantages. Lastly, the *Form Craft* i.e. science, engineering and built environment workshop conducted by facilitator Mr Michael Sharma assisted the students in exploring more about the cardinals of architecture and principles. All the 400 students took active interest in all the workshops which helped them identify their distinct fields of interest. Overall, the career studio and its various sessions gave an insight into the array of career options and opportunities that awaits to be explored.
