NATIONAL SPACE DAY CONFERENCE
(THEME:TOUCHING LIVES WHILE,TOUCHING THE MOON)
A group of 45 girls from classes XI and XII escorted by Dr Rashmi Pareek and Dr Rubina Bano, attended a session at Birla Institute of Science and Technology, Jaipur on 24th July to celebrate National space day (23rd August 2024), the successful landing of chandrayaan-3.
Dr Radhe Shyam Sharma, Director of IMD, spoke about the importance of exploration of space and the role of new techniques which have made the lives of humans easier and efficient.
Mr Sharma also shared his views on Importance of modern scientific techniques in monitoring the impact of climate change and predicting future natural disasters and saving the lives of people.
Students also participated in an inter school quiz conducted by BISR in Collaboration with ISRO on general questions related to space and rockets launched by ISRO, wherein the top scorers were felicitated.
Mr Amitabh, Head of Planetary and Space Science Data Processing Division, Ahmedabad briefed young scholars about the journey of ISRO as a leading Space Research Organization and challenges faced by the team in launching Chandraayan besides addressing the future project of ISRO, Chandryan-4.
It was a great learning for the students to know about the achievements of India in the field of Space technology.
