Farewell ceremony -Ms Benu Puri

MGD Girls’ School bid farewell to one of its most cherished and beloved teacher Ms Benu Puri on 20 July 2024. The farewell ceremony for Miss Benu Puri, who retired after an illustrious teaching career at MGD Girls’ School, Jaipur, spanning over 30 years, was a heartfelt and emotional event. Miss Benu's association with the school extended beyond her teaching career, having been a student there, making her connection with the institution for about 57 years.
The farewell began at the morning assembly in MSKK Wing, where students of Prep Section welcomed Miss Benu with floral greetings, cards, and messages. Some senior students presented paintings and read self-composed poems, expressing their admiration and love for her. The present Prep Coordinator, Ms.Sunita Rathore, bid farewell to Ms Benu Puri on behalf of the faculty and students of the Prep Section, highlighting Miss Benu Puri's contributions to the school and her impact on the students and teachers of Prep Section. Madame Principal Mrs. Archana S Mankotia expressed her best wishes in her speech.
The formal ceremony took place at the JHS Hall where the Principal, Mrs. Archana S Mankotia, along with the Admin Officer Colonel S S Sangwan Sena Medal Bar, and coordinators, spoke of Miss Benu's mental strength, firmness, and cordial nature in their speeches. Miss Benu was felicitated by the Principal with a school memento. Class representatives and Staff Secretaries presented her with bouquets, while the Vice Principal Ms Pramendra Khangarot and coordinators presented a token of appreciation for her long service.
In her farewell speech, Miss Benu thanked each member of the school and expressed her intention to continue her association with the school even after retirement. The school support staff performed a traditional welcome by garlanding her, adding a cultural touch to the ceremony.
Miss Benu then visited the Prep wing to meet her students informally, where students presented her with flowers and bid her a musical farewell, reflecting the deep bond she shared with them. The school's identity had become synonymous with Miss Benu Puri due to her long and dedicated service.
In conclusion, as Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." This sentiment perfectly encapsulates the lasting legacy and heartfelt impact Miss Benu has left on the MGD family.
