Cultural Exchange Program was organised at MGD Girls' School, Jaipur in collaboration with "Know India"
On 19th July 2024, a Cultural Exchange Program was organised at MGD Girls' School, Jaipur in collaboration with "Know India", a unique movement for Non-resident Indians and Foreign citizens. It focuses on understanding the rich heritage and the diverse culture of India. The theme for this year was Rajasthan.
The event was graced by Major General Kunwar Vijay Singh Lalotra, AVSM, YSM, SM (Veteran) esteemed member Board of Governors MGD alumnus, Mr Alok Sharma from ACT Universal, Mrs Archana S Mankotia, Principal, MGD Girls' School and Gen Pillai. A troop from the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates visited MGD to get an insight into the varied culture of Rajasthan. The cultural interaction focused on exchanging information about the different dance forms and the differences between Bharatnatyam and Satriya, the new emerging form of dance.
Students from MGD as well as members from the troop also presented dance performances. Major General Lalotra also briefed the audience about the upcoming Leadership Conclave to be hosted by MGD in December.
