The Green Warriors Club, in collaboration with Nagar Nigam, organized an awareness session on waste segregation and composting on May 3rd, 2024, at MGD Girls’SchoolJaipur. The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to make Jaipur a waste-free and plastic-free city under the Clean Jaipur Initiative. The session was conducted in collaboration with FINILOOP group, who shared insights into the importance of waste segregation and composting in sustainable waste management practices. They highlighted the adverse effects of improper waste disposal and emphasized the need for active participation from citizens in waste management efforts. Deputy Commissioner Malviya Nagar, Ms. Arshdeep Brar, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. She shared her journey and efforts towards making Jaipur a waste-free and plastic-free city. Ms. Brar interacted with students of class VI, engaging them in discussions about the significance of waste segregation at home and its impact on the environment. The session concluded with a pledge from the students to adopt responsible waste management practices and spread awareness at home and in their communities. Deputy Commissioner Arshdeep Brar commended the efforts of the Green Warriors Club and encouraged continued collaboration between stakeholders to achieve the goal of a cleaner and greener Jaipur. The event marked another milestone in the Clean Jaipur Initiative, reaffirming the commitment of all stakeholders towards building a sustainable and environmentally conscious city.
