The Rajmata Gayatri Devi Memorial Inter-School Debate

The Rajmata Gayatri Devi Memorial Inter-School Debate was organised by MGD Girls’ School on 26 April 2024. Twelve renowned schools of the city, including the host school, participated in the event . The annual event is a memoir of the founder’s legacy and her tireless efforts towards women’s emancipation, empowerment and education.
The prestigious event was graced by Mrs Archana S Mankotia, Principal MGD Girls’ School as the Chief Guest. Ms Jane Himmeth Singh, Founder Student and Member- Board of Governors, MGD Girls’ School, Ms Nirmala Durlabhji, President, MGD Girls’ Guild and Member-Board of Governors, MGD Girls’ School, Rajkumar Ajay Singh, Member of Society, MGD Girls’ School and Raj Kunwari Ambika Singh ji, Member- Board of Governors, MGD Girls’ School were the eminent guests at the event.
The debate comprised two segments – Deliberative Dynamics, The English Debate and Tarkon ka Tarkash, the Hindi Debate. The dais was on fire with the fiery and vehement arguments of all participants on the topics of social and cultural relevance.
The coveted Rajmata Gayatri Devi Memorial Trophy was bagged by Jaishree Periwal High School comprising Rishank Rawat, Aditya Gupta and Anirudh Gupta while MGD Girls’ School was declared as the Runners Up. The MGD team members were Swasti Khangarot, Himarsha Mulchandani and Amaya Manocha.
Vedika Ved Prakash Parashar and Navya Saharan of MGD Girls’ school won the prize for the best speakers of Hindi Debate. Abhimanyu Acharya from Teoler High School won the award for best whip while Anirudh Gupta from Jaishree Periwal High school was the best speaker of the English debate.
