World Mental Health Day observed at MGD Girls’ School.
‘Awareness and Empowerment sessions’
World Mental Health Day 2023 is an opportunity for people and communities to unite behind the theme ‘Mental health is a universal human right” to improve knowledge, raise awareness and drive actions that promote and protect everyone’s mental health as a universal human right.
Good mental health is vital to our overall health and well-being. Yet one in eight people globally are living with mental health conditions, which can impact their physical health, their well-being, how they connect with others, and their livelihoods.
Objective:
To help students understand the meaning and significance of mental health in their lives and appreciate protecting Mental Health as a global right. In a world where physical health often takes center stage, it's crucial to remember the importance of mental health. World Mental Health Day, celebrated on October 10th every year, provides an invaluable opportunity to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote good mental well-being. Compassion and empathy play a vital role in helping people seek the help they need. It also provides a platform to educate the public about the importance of mental health and the resources available for those in need. By increasing awareness, we empower individuals to take control of their mental well-being.
Students from Class VI to XII engaged in different activities pertaining to spreading awareness and empowering them about Mental Health.
