Shri B.D Joshi Memorial Inter School English Debate Competition was held at the Vardhman Srikalyan International School, Jaipur on 26th August 2023. Twelve schools of Jaipur participated in the competition. The chief guest for the event was Shree Ram Ballabh Sharma, retired Inspector General of Police. The guest of honour for the same was Mr. Rajendra Bhanawat, retired IAS officer.

The topic of the debate was, ‘The great ChatGPT debate: Revolutionising education or eroding originality’. Two speakers participated from each of the twelve schools. One speaker, for the motion and the other speaker, against the motion. The debate was followed by a round of interjections. Speakers from the schools showed exemplary participation. MGD Girls’ School bagged the second position. The participants were awarded with trophy and a reading book. They were felicitated by Ms. Namrata Sethia, Director- Vardhman Group of Schools. The participants were Kavya Jeph (XI H) and Siddhi Pareek (XI A), trained under the guidance of Mrs Neetu Mathur.
