When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It is to enjoy each step along the way.

Shunya, the IPSC Dance Festival 2023 was hosted by Birla Vidya Mandir School, Nainital from 3rd- 5th August. The IPSC Dance Festival was curated by Mr Pranav Mukherjee and was organised as a tribute to Shri Wajid Ali Shah, Pt Narendra Sharma and Martha Graham. A total of 14 schools participated in this festival.

M.G.D Girls School participated in all 4 categories being frames (Western duet), classical duet, confluences (folk) and torque (choreography based on 2 laws from different subjects). The participants were Apoorva Yadav, Mrinalini Seth, Riddhi Maheshwari, Akshara Daga, Sneha Johri, Stuti Agarwal and Paravi Mandowara.

MGD Girls’ School bagged the title of outstanding dance and movement pedagogy and praxis in torque.

The event was a wonderful learning experience for all six students from MGD.
