MGD Girls' School, Jaipur hosted the 15th INTACH FILMIT FEST on 3rd February 2023. It was attended by teacher in-charges and Filmit Club students of 14 schools of Jaipur. The Chief Guest for the fest was award-winning photographer, Mr Umesh Gogna. The occasion was graced by Ms Dharmender Kanwar ji, Convenor Jaipur Chapter and Co-Convenor Rajasthan Chapter INTACH and Mrs Archana S Mankotia, Principal, MGD Girls' School. The fest commenced with lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana followed by welcoming of esteemed guests by MGD Filmit Club prefects Aashna Gupta and Aadhya Jain. Students shared their varied experiences of exploring the art of filmmaking. Selected award-winning short films of Filmit Club members across India were showcased. Each participating school received awards and certificates from the esteemed guests and Ms Purnima Dutt, Principal Director, INTACH HECS. MGD won award for Best visuals and storyline for the film on Viratnagar; Best Film with animation for the film on vermiculture, The Earthy Alchemist. The overall Best film award was won by Sanskar School, Jaipur. The Fest was attended by Filmit Club in-charge Mrs Neetu Mathur and members Aashna Gupta, Aadhya Jain, Aizah Choudhary, Tridha Pandya, Jeevisha Rathore and Suhani Korwani. The fest energised the students to pursue their passion for filmmaking ardently.
