India is celebrating its 75th Independence Day with the theme “Nation First, Always First.” “Freedom in mind, Faith in our heart, Memories in our souls. Let’s salute the Nation on Independence Day.” MGD Girls’ School, Jaipur joined in the celebrations of the Independence Day along with the school staff and the students assembling for flag hoisting in the school campus. The Tricolor was unfurled by the Principal Mrs. Archana S Mankotia and Administrative officer Col S S Sangwan. The slogans of Jai Hind and Bharat Mata Ki Jai filled the atmosphere. The HOD PE, the school coordinators were in attendance for the tree plantation. Patriotic songs by the music department and the choir added to the patriotic fervor. The National Pledge was administered by the Head Girl Nandini Terapanthi. Girls from class 6th Aadhya Bhatnagar and Tithi Upadhyay spoke about the Flag Code, an informative period of instructions on the respectful and mindful bearing of the National Flag. The school band and the NCC girls gave the ceremonial salute. The programme ended with the school band playing the National Anthem and then there was distribution of sweets among students and staff.
