“The unselfish effort to bring cheer to others will be the beginning of a happier life for ourselves” - Helen Keller The Indian Women Blog in collaboration with Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, organized a ten-day Social Service Summer camp ‘Back To School’, from 18th to 27th May 2022, comprising various activities like public speaking, creative writing, environmental craft classes, science activities and sports classes at Triveni Nagar and MGD Girls’ School. It was a great learning experience for all participating students. They utilized their previous knowledge to ignite changes in the lives of underprivileged children by identifying their potential. All the volunteers and students displayed the best of their caliber for the betterment of our society. Sports activities were conducted for 7th and 8th graders where they learned about different sports like tennis, basketball, throw ball. Besides, public speaking classes were conducted in which they learnt about techniques to speak with confidence during public gatherings, maintain proper eye contact in alliance with speech clarity. This summer camp gave students a platform to learn a plethora of skills. A few competitions such as Tug of war and 100m race were also organized to boost their enthusiasm and will power. All these activities finally proved that learning incorporates both an integration of knowledge and enthusiasm both inside and outside a classrom, which finally paves the way for a beautiful life.
