THEME- ‘Learning Beyond Books’ Education is not only learning of facts but training of minds to think. When we are having a good time, learning becomes easy and not a strenuous task. To make learning a joyous experience, Social Science Week was observed from 20 to 25 October for classes VI to XII. CLASS- VI: Gram panchayat The entire class was involved in the activity, depicting a village scene of Gram Panchayat. Class-VII: Mock Vidhan Sabha The entire class was involved in the activity, depicting a scene of Question hour in Legislative Assembly. Some were members of LA from both ruling party and opposition. Class- VIII: Mock Parliament Mock Parliament was conducted in class. Students actively and enthusiastically participated, enacting the roles of Speaker, Prime Minister, Cabinet Minister and opposition leaders.. Class IX- XII The 8th edition of MGDMUN 2021 was held from 21st to 23rd October 2021, with its theme, Gambits of Sagacity. The opening ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Ms Nidhi Lauria, CEO Airtel, Rajasthan circle. Ms Lauria revived her memories as an MGDian and emphasised on the distinctiveness of MGD due to its ethos and values that this institution inculcates in its pupils. Over the course of three days with 8 sessions, 6 Committees, 16 Executive Board Members and over 260 Delegates from around the globe. Class XII students participated in various activities based on the idea ‘Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat’ announced by hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visualised by great leader Sardar Vallabhai Patel. . Besides these, a video on Sustainable Development Goals was shown to the students.Interesting Quiz sessions were conducted for all classesscience. The week came to a conclusion with a discussion on ‘Ek Bhaarat Shresth Bhaarat’, ‘Mudda 10 Minute ka’, quiz competition and a slogan writing on the same.
